Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 October 2026 · Version 2.1

1. Who we are

SolubFood ("we", "us") is a catalogue of Latin emotions — nights, flavours and stories you can live without a passport — built on the Gold Coast, Queensland. The website is operated by Benjamin Javier Arevalo Rodriguez, ABN 71 700 489 661, co-founded with Gibril. Contact: hello@teamsolub.com.

We organise and host "emotions" — real nights inside real Latin restaurants — and we work with restaurant partners once we've proven, with real visits, that we bring them customers. We don't process ticket payments ourselves: tickets for our emotions are sold on a separate, external ticketing platform with its own privacy policy.

We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

2. What we collect today

SolubFood is in its earliest days: there's no account system or login yet. Here's what we actually collect, through this site:

We don't collect payment details, health or allergy information, identity documents, or date of birth through this site. Ticket payments are handled entirely by our external ticketing provider.

3. Why we collect it

4. How your information is submitted

Our forms are processed by formsubmit.co, a third-party form-delivery service, which forwards your submission to our inbox (hello@teamsolub.com). [CONFIRM: formsubmit.co's data handling and storage location — see their own privacy policy]. We don't run our own server or database at this stage.

5. Who we share it with

We never sell your personal information. When you check in at a restaurant partner, the restaurant sees a confirmation that a SolubFood member checked in — not your email, phone or other contact details. Your information is otherwise used only by the SolubFood team.

6. Where it's stored

This website is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., based in the United States). Form submissions pass through formsubmit.co [CONFIRM: location]. If you accept analytics (see Section 9), anonymous visit data passes through Plausible Analytics. We don't yet run any advertising pixel — see Section 9 for what's coming and how we'll let you know before it starts.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your membership and check-in details for as long as SolubFood is running, so we can notify you about emotions and show restaurant partners the visits we bring them — or until you ask us to delete them.

8. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information anytime by emailing hello@teamsolub.com. We'll respond within a reasonable time — normally 30 days.

9. Cookies and analytics

This site doesn't use tracking or advertising cookies. When you first visit, a banner asks whether you'll allow analytics — if you accept, we load Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused tool that doesn't use cookies and doesn't collect any personal data about you; it only tells us aggregate numbers like how many people visited and roughly where from. Your choice is remembered on your device so we don't ask again. If you decline, no analytics runs at all.

We're also planning to add a Meta advertising pixel, to measure how our Instagram ads perform. It isn't active yet. Before it goes live, we'll update this policy — and the pixel will only load if you've accepted the same cookie banner described above, never before.

10. Tickets

Tickets for SolubFood emotions are sold through a separate, external ticketing platform, linked from this site. That platform processes your payment and ticket details under its own privacy policy, not this one. See our Terms of Use and our Event Ticket Terms for details.

11. Complaints

If you have a privacy concern, contact us at hello@teamsolub.com. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.

12. Changes

As SolubFood grows — ticketing integration, analytics, a Meta pixel and a restaurant-partner dashboard are all on our roadmap — this policy will be updated to reflect what we actually do, with a new date and version number.
